Executive Director
Per the By-Laws of the Delta Phi Lambda Foundation, Article 4, Section 1. (A)-(D), The executive director is hired by the board. The executive director has day-to-day responsibilities for the organization, including carrying out the organization’s goals and policies. The executive director will attend all board meetings, report on the progress of the organization, answer questions of the board members and carry out the duties described in the job description. The board can designate other duties as necessary.

Position
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the Delta Phi Lambda Foundation Nonprofit’s staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission. S/he will initially develop deep knowledge of field, core programs, operations, and business plans.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Management:
Ensure ongoing local programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and systems; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals
Actively engage and energize the Delta Phi Lambda Foundation Nonprofit volunteers, board members, event committees, alumnae, partnering organizations, and funders
Develop, maintain, and support a strong board of directors; serve as ex-officio of each committee, seek and build board involvement with strategic direction for both ongoing local operations as well as for the national rollout
Lead, coach, develop, and retain the Delta Phi Lambda Foundation Nonprofit’s high-performance senior management team
Ensure effective systems to track scaling progress, and regularly evaluate program components, so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board, funders, and other constituents
Fundraising & Communications:
Expand revenue generating and fundraising activities to support existing program operations
Deepen and refine all aspects of communications—from web presence to external relations with the goal of creating a stronger brand
Use external presence and relationships to garner new opportunities
Qualifications
The ED will be thoroughly committed to the Delta Phi Lambda Foundation Nonprofit’s mission. All candidates should have proven leadership, coaching and relationship management experience. Concrete demonstrable experience and other qualifications include:
Advanced degree, ideally an MBA or MPA, with at least 3-5 years of senior management experience; track record of effectively leading and regionally and/or nationally scaling a performance- and outcomes-based organization and staff; ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalized strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth
Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation
Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget
Past success working with a board of directors with the ability to cultivate existing board member relationships
Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures
Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to business planning
Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed

Finance and Operations Manager

Position
Reporting to the executive director (ED), the Finance and Operations Manager will implement the infrastructure and systems needed to support strategic objectives. S/he will be responsible for the oversight of administrative and financial systems including finance, accounting, information technology, human resources, communications, and recruiting. The Finance and Operations Manager will be involved in a range of strategic planning and internal initiatives.
S/he will work closely with the ED and the senior management team in developing the Delta Phi Lambda Foundation’s strategic plan. The Finance and Operations Manager will act as the primary liaison to the board of directors' finance committee, working closely with the committee to strengthen the Delta Phi Lambda Foundation’s financial position and other items as required.
S/he will continually evaluate best industry practices in comparison to internal systems and needed resources, with an eye toward both future needs and budget realities.
Responsibilities
Finance and Budgeting
The Finance and Operations Manager will have overall financial management responsibility including the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting materials and metrics for the ED and board of directors. S/he will oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow and coordination of audit activities as well as accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate will not only be able to reconcile financial activities but should also be skilled at capturing key data and processes in order to demonstrate the relationship between Delta Phi Lambda Foundation’s goals and resulting fundraising needs.
Administration/Operations
The executive will serve as a partner to the ED on the organization's administrative and operational processes, with a goal of continuously developing and improving systems. S/he must evaluate and improve Delta Phi Lambda Foundation’s information technology infrastructure, implementing new technologies to support key capabilities as required for future growth, and to support and drive key human resource initiatives.
The Finance and Operations Manager will also partner with ED and the rest of the management team to ensure that the focus remain on the organization’s mission while maintaining the culture
that makes Delta Phi Lambda Foundation unique. The Finance and Administration Manager will also assist in compliance measures between the Foundation and the Sorority headquarters.
Qualifications
The Finance and Operations Manager will have experience managing the finance and administration of a nonprofit organization or business unit. The successful candidate will have experience leading planning efforts and running operationally effective organizations that have multiple functional areas. The Finance and Operations Manager must harness technology solutions in order to more quickly and efficiently communicate resources needed for key activities and performance against plans. Working knowledge of fraternity/sorority life would be helpful, but not mandatory. Nonprofit experience is a plus, with a strong preference for someone who has operated in a fast growing environment that has limited budgets and resources.

Position
Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director (ED), the Development Director (Director) will spearhead development efforts as Delta Phi Lambda Foundation continues to grow. A new position in the organization, the Director will have the opportunity to build the development function.
